Can I work for multiple employers at the same time on OPT?

Yes. SEVP guidance states that 'a student may work for more than one employer, but all employment must be related to the student's degree program.' Performing artists and others can even work multiple short-term gigs. You must report each employer to your DSO (or in the SEVP Portal) and, on post-completion OPT, your combined hours should average at least 20 per week.

Watch out

Every job must be degree-related and reported in SEVIS; on the STEM OPT extension all employers must additionally be enrolled in E-Verify.
