What work visas can I use if I am from Australia, Canada, Mexico, Singapore, or Chile?
It depends on your nationality. Canadian and Mexican citizens can use the TN category (USMCA) for listed professional occupations, with no lottery and no annual cap. Australians can use the E-3 specialty-occupation visa, and Singaporean and Chilean nationals can use the H-1B1 category; both mirror H-1B requirements but have their own separate annual numbers (E-3 ~10,500; H-1B1 set-aside of 6,800 split as 1,400 Chile and 5,400 Singapore). These are typically faster and not subject to the regular H-1B lottery.
Watch out
Each category has its own occupation list, degree, and (for E-3/H-1B1) labor condition application requirements, and TN/E-3/H-1B1 are nonimmigrant categories that are less green-card-friendly than H-1B.
